First paragraph:

This article talks about what “the count of Monte Cristo” implies in the film “V for Vendetta”. I believe the implication that the book represents in the film is “Revenge”. Alexandre Dumas was the most popular author in European and “The Count of Monte Cristo” was believed to be his greatest novel. There are so many coincidences between the film and the book. For example, the main characters “V” and “Edmond Dantès” both suffered from pain and torture.
