In order to get a more accurate count of the visitors to your site, you can use this page to make Site Meter ignore your own visits to your site.

Site Meter will ignore your visit by setting a cookie in your browser. When you visit your own site, the browser will ask the Site Meter server for the counter to display on your web page. As part of that request, your browser will send the cookie to Site Meter. Site Meter will see the request for the counter was from your browser and won't record the visit.
